Sustainability

Every single piece in our collection is made in Germany, Poland and Italy to ensure that every step along the supply chain complies with ethical guidelines.

In the spirit of sustainability, short distances and fair working conditions are very important to us, and have been since the label was founded in 2006.

Our production facility in Germany, with which we have worked since 2008, is located in Apolda, Thuringia. The entire Marcel Ostertag cashmere and knitwear collection is made there. Long-standing partnerships are also part of what sustainability means to us.

Thanks to close contact with our external partners, we can also continuously monitor the high quality of our collections and the working conditions. We know each of our tailors personally.

We also think sustainably when selecting our resources.

Overproduction is avoided from the outset. The choice of resources goes hand in hand with our design, which is defined by timelessness.

Through this timelessness and high quality, we want to ensure that our customers can wear our garments for years. For us, sustainability also means counteracting consumer culture.

The Marcel Ostertag brand encourages society to consume less and instead focus on quality and sustainability.
